John worked over 30 years for Granada TV in Manchester until leaving in October 1998 to pursue a freelance career. John is now retired except for Old friends favours, if I've worked for you previously ....and you need a favour feel free to ask! Personal Information

Biographical Information

John took a course in Photography and Cinematography at Nottingham College of Arts & Crafts, Now Nottingham University, qualifyingwith C & G Diploma and IBP Diploma

John secured employment with Granada TV in Manchester as a trainee Cameraman.

In 1979, John was promoted to Camera Crew Leader, and in 1989, was promoted to Lighting Director.

John is married to Sheila and has two sons.

Personal Interests

John is particularly interested in the preservation of our Inland Waterways and is a member of the IWA, Shropshire Union Canal Society and WRG (I worked as a cameraman on several episodes of Travelling Man, remember Chirk Aqueduct.)
